Sifting is one of the important processes in construction work especially in the stage of supplying sand material To minimize sifting time and increase work efficiency a sand sifting machine was designed with a reciprocating motion system driven by a 2800 rpm electric motor This research uses an engineering research method that includes the stages of design 2D and 3D design creation the manufacturing process tool testing and analysis of results The working principle of the machine is to move the sieve container back and forth through an eccentric shaft connected to a crank shaft with power transmission using a pulley and v belt with a ratio of 1:7 The test results show that the machine is capable of sifting 10 kg of sand in 36 seconds at dimmer level 10 with 90 efficiency 46 seconds at level 9 with 86 5 efficiency and 59 7 seconds at level 8 with 81 17 efficiency From these results it is known that the optimal performance of the sand sifting machine is at dimmer speed level 9 Thus this electric motor based sand sifting machine has been successfully made and works effectively in accordance with the design objectives < p>
