Abstract

This research aims to understand, analyze, and describe the Role of the Village Government in Community Empowerment in Tuabatu Village, Tampan’amma District, Talaud Islands Regency. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods. With data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The sources of research data include primary data obtained from informants: the Village Head, the Chairperson of the Village Consultative Body (BPD), Village Officials, and the Community, as well as secondary data in the form of supporting documents.

The results of this study indicate that the implementation of community empowerment and road infrastructure development in Tuabatu village is not yet optimal. The lack of community involvement in the implementation of development has been a factor that does not support development in the village, in addition to the inactivity of the village government, including the Village Consultative Body, in the implementation of community empowerment for village development. And the local government's lack of sensitivity to the current condition of the roads, which are already damaged and have not been repaired or maintained.
