Abstract

The research explains the Empowerment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Minahasa Regency. This research raises problems related to the lack of knowledge and management skills among MSMEs in Minahasa Regency. The focus of the research is on development strategies through training to increase knowledge and management skills among MSME players in the region using a qualitative approach. The main findings note that MSME programs organized by the Minahasa Regency Cooperative and SME Service have not been able to reach MSME actors effectively due to a lack of socialization regarding these programs. However, the strategies implemented such as capital, entrepreneurship development and training are considered appropriate, but there is still a mismatch between the concepts implemented by the department and the MSME empowerment concepts that should be implemented. It is hoped that this research can provide recommendations for increasing the knowledge and management skills of MSME actors and improving the distribution of information related to MSME programs so that they can contribute to improving the quality and competitiveness of MSMEs in the regions
