Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of learning journals based on Reading, Questioning, And Answering (RQA) in class XI MIPA. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK)  which is carried out in two cycles. In each cycle consisting of planning (planning), implementation (action), observation (observation), and reflection (reflection). The subjects in this study were students of class XI MIPA 2 in the 2020/2021 academic year. The number of students is 23 people consisting of 8 boys and 15 girls. The data collection technique used a learning outcome test with a test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions. The results showed that student learning outcomes in the first cycle averaged 67.60 and the percentage of classical learning completeness was 57.17%, which means that there has been no improvement in student learning outcomes. Then continued in the second cycle, the student learning outcomes were 84.34 and the percentage of classical learning completeness was 86.95%. In this cycle student learning outcomes have increased. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of RQA-based learning journals can improve student learning outcomes.
