Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the explicit instructional learning model on student learning outcomes in the subject of Light Vehicle Engine Maintenance in the Automotive Light Vehicle Engineering Program at SMK Negeri 1 Ratahan. This research method is the use of explicit instruction learning model, to improve learning outcomes in the subject of Light Vehicle Engine Maintenance at SMK Negeri 1 Ratahan. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the control class and the experimental class. In the treatment, the explicit instruction learning model was used in the experimental class, while the control class used a conventional learning model. The conclusion obtained from this study is that there is a significant effect on "Learning using explicit instruction learning on learning outcomes to apply the main engine maintenance system and student valve mechanism at SMK Negeri 1 Ratahan".
