Abstract

This study aims to determine that the use of experimental learning methods can improve student learning outcomes in class X Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Negeri 3 Toondano. This research is a true experiment with the type of comparison between two groups. The research was conducted at SMK Negeri 3 Tondano. The data in this study were obtained by means of the experimental group being given the experimental learning model treatment while the control group was given the lecture method learning model treatment. The population in this study amounted to 50 students of class X Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Negeri 3 Tondano. The instrument used in retrieval of research data was through objective test questions with the material (introduction to workshop tools). This test was given to class X TKR A and X TKR B 2 times each with the same questions at the pretest before treatment and posttest after receiving treatment. All data results in variables were retrieved using SPSS 24.0. The results showed that the use of the experimental method had a big impact in learning Basic Work of Auto Engineering so that it could improve the learning outcomes of grade X students of SMK Negeri 3 Tondano
