Abstract

The purpose of this study was to amalyze and describe how the role of PKK mothers in increasing income in kalama darat Village, Tamako district, Sangihe Islands Regency. The research method used is qualitative. Qualitative research methods aim to provide a systematic, factual and accurate description. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documention. The results of research in the field show that the role of PKK mothers in kalama darat village is very important because it can be seen from the work programs carried out by PKK mothers, namely posyandu and posbindu (health sector), PAUD organizers (education sector) dasawisma and mapalus, and the activities carried out by PKK mothers in the kalama Land village are carried out individually or individually, namely entrepreneurs, washing hunters, cake makers, and fish sellers. Through these activities PKK mothers who previously had no income and only worked as housewives now have their own income and additional activities.
