PERGESARAN BUDAYA TARIAN MAENGKET DI KELURAHAN PANGOLOMBIAN KECAMATAN TOMOHON SELATAN KOTA TOMOHON

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out what factors caused the cultural shift of the Maengket dance in Pangolombian Village, South Tomohon District, Tomohon City. This study uses qualitative research. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The reason the researcher uses this type of qualitative research is because it is in accordance with the nature and objectives of the research to be obtained and not testing a hypothesis. The data analysis technique used is by analyzing and reducing descriptive data obtained in the field, then categorized to be examined and then interpreted. Bogdan in (Sugiyono, 2013: 244) data analysis is the process of systematically searching and compiling data obtained from interviews, field notes and other materials, so that they can be easily understood and the findings can be informed to others. By using this method, the data obtained will be more complete, more in-depth and meaningful so that the research objectives can be achieved with techniques such as observation, interviews and documentation. Validation of the data in this study using credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability tests, Sugiyono 2013. The results of the research that have been carried out indicate that the loss of Maengket Dance culture in Pangolombian Village, South Tomohon District, Tomohon City is caused by internal factors and external factors as well as due to lack of attention from the government.
