This study aims to determine the extent of democratic behavior in the community in the election of the Loleolamo village head, South Maba Maba Regency, East Halmahera Regency and to find out what factors cause democratic behavior to occur in the community in the election of the Loleolamo village head, South Maba District, East Halmahera Regency. The research method used is a qualitative research method. This research method is basically a scientific way to obtain data with certain purposes and uses. In this study, the author wants to objectively look at people's behavior towards democracy and the level of community knowledge as well as attitudes and participation in responding to the democratic practice of electing the village head of Loleolamo, South Maba District, East Halmahera Regency. Based on the results of research on democratic behavior in the community in the election of the village head of Loleolamo Kacan Maba Selatan, East Halmahera Regency, it is known that most of the knowledge of the local community in articulating democracy is only a general description of the concept of general elections, legislative elections and village head elections. So according to the observations of the researchers according to the observations that democratic behavior in the election of village heads in the Loleolamo community, South Maba District, East Halmahera Regency is very minimal. This is motivated by the factor of public knowledge which is still carried by the average elementary to high school graduate.
