Abstract

This study aims to see whether there is an influence of family economic status on learning outcomes in students of the sociology education study program. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method. Collecting data in this study using questionnaires and documentation. Based on the research that has been done, it is found that a simple regression analysis to measure the effect of family economic status on learning outcomes for students of the sociology education study program is where the constant (a) is 4.577 and the coefficient value (b) is (-0.043) which is in the simple regression equation. becomes = 4.577 + (-0.043)X where the hypothesis turns out to be on the effect of family economic status on learning outcomes in students of sociology education study program. From the results of the analysis, it was found that the influence between family economic status had an influence that was not always proportional to student learning outcomes where based on the questionnaires that had been distributed and looking at the social studies results from students, it was not always students who had high family economic status had high learning outcomes and vice versa. that not always students with low family economic status have low social studies, in this case the economic status of the family based on the questionnaire is not always the full driving force, but from the students themselves who are more influential
