Based on the results of research on changes in the status of laid-off employees to vanilla farmers due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Pinamorongan Village. The impact of layoffs due to the COVID-19 pandemic that employees feel is about the problem of changing professions, namely where from them as employees now they have to become vanilla farmers, then the problem of economic changes or income where every month they have a fixed income, now they don't have a fixed income. in the family, what is fulfilled is now not fully fulfilled, and the lifestyle they used to still follow the trend is now simpler and more frugal. They prefer to return to their villages and open agricultural land, both their own land and the land of their parents, one of which is to become vanilla farmers but apart from being vanilla farmers they also grow other crops such as spices, and apart from farming they also work. Other jobs they can do include being laborers, drivers and others while waiting for the vanilla harvest
