Pelaksanaan Budaya Adat Mongondow bagi Pemeluk Agama Kristen (Studi Sosiologi pada Penduduk Asli Desa Pangian Kecamatan Passi Timur)

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the understanding of the implementation of the mongondow costomary cultue for Christians (sociological studies on the natives of pangian village, east passi district, bolaang mongondow regency). The problem im research os how is the implementation of the traditional mongondow culture for the Christian population. The research methot used is qualitative. Qualitative research methot aims to provide a systematic, factual and accurate description. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. There are stil many mongondow customs that are still carried out by the Christian population, but have gone through a process of improvement following the times without losing the meaning of these cultural elemens, the implementation of cultural costoms that are still strong, namely, marriage and marriage culture. The difference in the implementation of the traditional mongondow culture in the past and now is very clearly seen at this time, in pangian vellage in ancient times the traditional culture was still very strong in the community and even became a guide in regulation harmony and peace in the community in pangian village. The implementation of the traditional mongondow culture at this time is not what it used to be because of the rapidly growing influence of modernization, so that the implementation of the mongondow  traditional culture is mixed with modern culture but does not eliminate the existing meaning.
