Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence the creativity and competence of lecturers have on student learning outcomes at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Manado State University, Class of 2017/2018. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method. The subjects studied were students of the social sciences faculty, totaling 167 students. The variables of this research are the creativity and competence of lecturers as independent variables while the dependent variable is learning outcomes. Data were taken by using questionnaire and documentation method. Data processing using regression analysis techniques with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that creativity had no positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes. The results of the t-test obtained tcount value of 0.911 with sig. of 0.365 (p > 0.05). Lecturer competence has a positive and significant influence on student learning outcomes. The results of the t-test obtained tcount value of 2.444 with sig. of 0.016 (p < 0.05). Simultaneously, creativity and competence of lecturers have a significant influence on student learning outcomes with a significance value of Fcount of 3.625 with sig. of 0.031 (p < 0.05).
