Perhatian Orang Tua dan Pernikahan Dini pada Anak (Studi Kasus Kelurahan Singkil Dua Lingkungan III Kecamatan Singkil Kota Manado)

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the attention of parents in Singkil Dua Village, Lingkungan
III, Singkil District, Manado City and describe the causes of early marriage in children in Singkil
Dua Village, Lingkungan III, Singkil District, Manado City. The problem in this study is how the
causes of early marriage occur. The method used is qualitative. Qualitative research methods aim to
provide a systematic, factual and accurate description. Data collection techniques are observation
and interviews and documentation. The results of field research show. Lack of attention, supervision
from parents, socialization and the environment are the causes of many teenagers who end their
adolescence by deciding to get married at an age that is arguably still very young to assume the status
of parents. Lack of parental attention, is a very big problem in the family, resulting in teenage
children who are still in their growing age looking for impressions or attention outside the home. The
factors that cause adolescents to marry early are sexual behavior and unplanned pregnancies,
encouragement to marry economically and low parental education.
