<p>Learning habit are behaviours that children engage in throughout learning activities, both at school and at home. learning habit carried out by students are different. In other words, learning habit are ways of learning that done by students to acquire knowledge. The formation of good learning habit can be seen from the methods of students in learning and the alertness of students in learning. Student learning activities at school such as the way students follow lessons in class and concentrate while studying as well as learning activities outside the classroom such as reading textbooks and doing assignments. Thus, learning habit play a crucial role in the development of good learning achievement. The goal of this research was to determine if learning habit and English achievement of second-year students at Islamic senior high school 2 Ponorogo were significantly correlated. The research employed a correlation design and quantitative methodology. There were 214 second-year natural science students from Islamic senior high school 2 Ponorogo as a population. To choose the sample, the researcher employed the purposive sampling approach. Therefore, there were 62 students in the sample as a whole in this research. The researcher measured students’ learning habit using questionnaires, and students' English achievement was measured using documentation from the score of odd semester report cards. The data was analyzed using person-product moment correlation and descriptive statistics. The findings show a positive correlation between learning habit and English achievement of second year natural science students at Islamic senior high school 2 Ponorogo. Thus, it is possible to assume that the students’ learning achievement increases with their improved learning habit.</p>Sunarti SunartiSujito Sujito

<p>Education is an important foundation for every individual and even the country. In today's life, especially in the era of technology, education has become greatly helped by the existence of various kinds of technological media that can support the education process. Therefore, innovation in learning is needed, English learning innovation can be done by applying the use of learning media that can help students in absorbing information better to increase student interest in learning. The purpose of the study is to measure the influence of Audio-Visual as a Learning Media. Using class action research, this study employs a quantitative descriptive analytic technique. The number of samples in this study were 16 grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 8 SATAP Tondano who had been involved in the use of animation videos to improve student’s speaking ability. The results showed that the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 8 SATAP Tondano liked the use of animation video as a learning media for learning English, especially to improve the speaking ability. <p>Increasing mastery of English vocabulary is important in the context of education in Indonesia. One of the methods used in an effort to improve vocabulary mastery is the application of song video clip media in learning. This research aims to find out whether song video clip media in learning can improve students' vocabulary mastery at SMP Negeri 5 Tabukan Utara. The research method used was pre-experimental research with a one group pretest-posttest design. By implementing or using song video clip media in learning English vocabulary, researchers obtained data that student learning outcomes increased. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the use of song video clip media can improve the vocabulary mastery of grade 7 students at SMP Negeri 5 Tabukan Utara. The average pre-test score was 42.57 and post-test was 75.42. From these results, it can be seen that the post test scores are higher than the pre test results, and it can be concluded that the use of song video clip media can improve students' vocabulary mastery.</p>Theovinci Nathanael WalukowNihta V. <p>This research aims to determine the use of Duolingo to improve students' vocabulary in English subjects at SMP Negeri 8 Satu Atap Tondano. This research uses a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest design. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 8 Satu Atap Tondano. The sample of 24 students. The research instruments given were pretest and posttest, with a total of 20 questions. The research results show that the use of Duolingo can improve students' vocabulary. This is proven by the students' posttest average score 74.04 with a standard deviation of 12.22 which is greater than the pretest average score 41.08 with a standard deviation of 8.76. Apart from that, the results of the hypothesis test show that the value of tcount (6.057) is greater than t-table (2.069). <p>The purpose of this study was to find out whether the use of Tiktok Duet Conversation can improve the speaking skill of tenth grade students at SMK Kristen Imanuel Laikit. The writer used quantitative methods to collect data, with pre-experimental designs and using one pre-test and post-test group. 21 grade X students of SMK Kristen Imanuel Laikit as samples in the study. The results of this study are obtained from before and after treatment. While the analysis data used t-test and then the results of the pre-test and post-test were analyzed using SPSS 24. The results of the study obtained showed differences in students' speaking scores on the pre-test and post-test. It can be seen from the sig value of the 2-tailed paired sample test is 0.000 < 0.05, which means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It was concluded that using TikTok Duet Conversation has a very relevant influence on improving the speaking skill of tenth grade students of SMK Kristen Imanuel Laikit.</p>Joshua Christian BungaNihta V. <p>This research aims to find out whether the pre-questioning is able to improve students' reading comprehension at SMA Negeri 1 Tondano. This research used quantitative research with a pre-experimental design. This study was applied in one group of pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The subject of this research was the eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Tondano. The data collection that is used is an essay test that consists of 20 numbers. The writer used the mean score formula to analyse the data. The results showed that there was an increase in the scores achieved by students in the pre-test and post-test. The students' average score in the pre-test was 48.25, while the students' average score in the pre-test was 77.75. The results of this study indicate that the mean score from the post-test was 29.5% higher than the pre-test. These data show that the pre-questioning strategy is effective in improving students' reading comprehension in the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 1 Tondano.</p>Putri MangareMeity MuntuuntuPaula Rombepajung

<p>The purpose of this study is to find out whether Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) Strategy is effective in teaching reading comprehension in class VIII of Swadharma Mopugad Junior High School. The DRTA (Directed Reading Thinking Activity) reading strategy is a direct reading and thinking strategy, so that students can focus on the text and predict the content of the story by proving it while reading. The researcher used quantitative research method through pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test design and the sample of this research was students of class VIII B SMP Swadharma Mopugad consisting of 28 students. The research instrument used in this study was a multiple choice test. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test in class VIII B, the average during the pre-test was 46.79 with an achievement of 46.79%, while the average during the post-test increased to 87.68 with an achievement of 87.68% or reached 88%. The mean value for the Post Test is in the score interval 81-100 which is included in the Very High category. The increase in the average score from pre-test to post-test was 40.89 or with a percentage of 40.89%. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) Strategy is effective in improving students' reading comprehension.</p>Ni Ketut KurniyantiElisabeth Z. <p>This research discovered the Audio-visual technology as a media to improve speaking skills specifically in speech accuracy and fluency, increase students’ knowledge and provide opportunities for to SMP Kristen Koka IX grade students to demonstrate their speaking skills. This research involves teaching video that are consistent with the SMP Kristen Koka IX grade class curriculum with a projector and loudspeaker operating K13 by fulfilling KI, KD, and achievement indicators that were set. The data in this research be collected by using rubric scoring accuracy and fluency to discover students’ speaking skills. The results students’ mastery was taken from the post-test, The mean post-test score is 6.5 for accuracy and 8.35 for fluency. The greatest accuracy score is nine (9) acquired by five (5) students, and the lowest is eight (8) achieved by eleven (11) students, while the highest fluency score is nine (9) achieve by one student and lowest fluency score is six (6) achieved by seven (7) students. The data revealed that some students' scores improved significantly, but their pre-test scores were poor due to their inability to convey ideas during the teaching learning process. So, in this study, the use of audio-visual technology as a teaching and learning medium can increase students' speaking skills by improving their thinking and allowing them to readily absorb knowledge from the audio-visual and apply it to their speaking skills.</p>Yesaya Gabriel Baginda RumondorNihta V.
