Abstract

Individuals with intellectual disabilities experience deficits in various social skills. This research attempts to describe the influence of video modeling to improve assertive behavior for students with mild intellectual disabilities. This research uses Single Subject Research (SSR) with A-B design. The subject in this study was a 16-year-old mild intellectual disability student who was in high school. Data collection techniques using observation. Data analysis techniques used are visual analysis of conditions and visual analysis between conditions. The results of this study indicate that video modeling can improve the assertive behavior of students with intellectual disabilities. Increased assertive behavior in subjects after being given an intervention can be seen through the acquisition of student scores that increase after being given an intervention. From the change in direction trends from the baseline phase to the intervention phase shows a horizontal direction towards ascending means that there is an influence of video modellingto improve the assertive behavior of students with mild intellectual disabilities.
