Abstract

Learning discipline is very important for student learning activities, this shows that learning discipline also determines student motivation, activities, and success. A person can be said to be disciplined if he does or does a job in an orderly and orderly manner according to the time and place and is done with full awareness and perseverance without coercion from anyone. In this study, students did not understand the importance of student learning discipline in improving learning outcomes in Civics subjects; lack of teacher motivation on the importance of student learning discipline in improving learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 3 Beo; parents of students do not provide good facilities for children in improving learning outcomes; and the lack of good cooperation between students and teachers in improving learning outcomes in civic education subjects. For this reason, in this research the author aims to determine the factors that can improve learning outcomes in civic education subjects at SMP Negeri 3 Beo using qualitative research methods. 

The results show that students' interest in learning in Civics subjects at SMP Negeri 3 Beo can be seen from the reality of learning outcomes that are quite high. The teachers who teach Civics subjects also admit that the subjects they care for are in great demand by the students; the role of teachers and student learning motivation at SMP Negeri 3 Beo, especially Civics subjects can be categorized as quite good and effective, so it needs to be increased from year to year Civics lessons; and the form of learning motivation at SMP Negeri 3 Beo is classified as good, quality and even superior in Civics subjects, compared to other schools.Abstract
