Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership style on teacher performance and to analyze the effect of teacher performance on student learning outcomes in Integrated Social Studies Subjects at SMP Negeri 1 Langowan. The target population of this study were all students of class VIII, totaling 152 students spread over 6 classes. Sampling with a precision level set at 0.08 or 8%, which is at a confidence level of 92% from a total population of 152 students, then obtained a sample size of 76 respondents. This study uses a survey research method where the researcher uses a questionnaire as a tool for conducting research. The analysis used to test the hypothesis in this study is using simple regression and correlation analysis techniques. And calculated through the SPSS program. There is a positive influence of transformational leadership style on teacher performance. This means that teachers can improve their performance in carrying out their work, if the transformational leadership style of the principal is applied properly. Based on the results of the study which showed a correlation between X1 and Y = RY1 = 0.813 or R2Y1 = 0.661 and with a significance level of < 0.001. This means that 66.10% improvement in the performance of SMP Negeri 1 Langowan teachers is determined by the transformational leadership style of the Principal. There is a positive effect of teacher performance on student learning outcomes. This means that high teacher performance has a positive influence on student learning outcomes in learning, according to the results of research which show that the correlation between X2 and Y = RY2 = 0.555 or R2Y1 = 0.308 and with a significance level of < 0.001. This means that 30.80% increase in student learning outcomes in SMP Negeri 1 Langowan is determined by teacher performance.
