The purpose of this study is to find out the waste management in South Tondano District, Minahasa Regency. The research method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive research method. Which systematically describes facts or phenomena in the field. Meanwhile, the data analysis used, namely interactive data analysis, consists of three streams of activities that occur simultaneously, namely: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn/verification. Based on the results of the research, it is known that waste management has not been carried out in accordance with the provisions because: 1. Waste Collection; Waste collected by the community does not go through a sorting process based on the type of waste (dry and wet waste, organic and inorganic) are all collected into one; lack of discipline in disposing of garbage and the time set for disposing of garbage is often ignored or disobeyed by the community. 2. The process of transportation from the Temporary Disposal Site (TPS) to the Final Processing Site (TPA) by officers is often not according to schedule, namely three times a week, as a result of the accumulation of waste at the Temporary Disposal Site (TPS) which brings unpleasant odors and pollutes the surrounding environment, the availability of facilities (garbage trucks) and less supportive resources. 3. Waste Processing, less response from the community by not/less sorting of waste, and less effort to convert waste into a form of value to be used, lack of facilities, lack of availability of containers to separate in supporting the waste processing process. Waste from the source is immediately brought and collected to the Temporary Disposal Site to be transported to the Final Processing Site (TPA).
