PENGARUH INTENSITAS PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI TIKTOK TERHADAP KECENDERUNGAN NARSISTIK PADA MAHASISWA FIPP UNIMA

Abstract

TikTok is an application that is in great demand among various groups, especially students. When individuals use the TikTok application continuously, an increase in the use of the TikTok application will occur which is called intensity. Narcissistic tendencies are a condition where individuals want excessive attention, in terms of using the TikTok application in the form of likes, comments and praise from people on the TikTok application. The aim of this research is to find out and get an overview of the influence of the intensity of use of the TikTok application on Narcissistic Tendencies in FIPP UNIMA Students. This research uses quantitative methods. The population in this study was FIPP UNIMA Students Class of 2020 – 2022, totaling 1,740. The sampling technique used is the Cochran formula. The results of this research are based on linear regression data analysis, but no significant influence was found between these two variables, where 0.063 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that the Intensity variable has no effect on the Narcissistic Tendencies variable.
