Abstract

Biology lessons in school are lessons that encourage each student to be actively involved in each learning process, so that appropriate learning strategies are needed to teach biology so that students more easily understand the concepts contained in each material studied. The purpose of this research is to know the difference in learning outcomes between students taught using inquiry learning models, with students taught using conventional learning models, in material biology learning growth and development. The method in this study is a quasi-experimental research method, student learning outcomes data obtained from the results of the pretest and posttest and analyzed using the t-test. The results showed that the average posttest value of the experimental class was 88.86 higher than the mean of the control class 84.59. The use of inquiry learning models can affect student learning outcomes.
