The purpose of this study is how the different effects of using the team assisted induction (TAI) learning model with the lecture model on the learning outcomes of class XI IPS student in sociology subjects at SMA Negeri 3 Manado. This study used an experimental method with the research design used was the Randomized Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The data in this study were in both the control classand the experimental class consisting of 25 student of class XI IPS 1 and 25 student of class XI IPS 2 who will be given a preliminary test and a final test with the same questions in the from of multiple choice (objective). The instrumentsused in data collection were observation and test. the analysis technique used is the kuder and Richard son KR-20 point validity test and reliability test. it is proven by the result that the use of the team assisted individualization model achieves an average learning outcome of 86 84 while using the lecture model the learning outcomes only reach an average score of 79, 68 in the learning process of sociology subject at SMAN 3 Manado.
