This study analyzes how educational content on the Instagram account @salam.permaculture contributes to the development of environmental awareness among its followers. Permaculture, which emphasizes sustainable ecological design, is communicated through educational content distributed via social media. Among the content characteristics examined, content consistency emerged as the most dominant indicator perceived by followers. The research employed a quantitative descriptive–explanatory approach. Data were obtained from 100 followers using a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring educational content and environmental awareness across cognitive, affective, and conative dimensions. The regression analysis indicates a significant positive relationship between educational content and environmental awareness (b = 0.787; sig = 0.000), with a determination coefficient of 0.458. Descriptive findings show that the content consistency indicator recorded the highest mean score (3.84) compared with other indicators. This result suggests that regular and structured dissemination of environmental messages through social media strengthens followers’ awareness. The findings also support digital literacy theory, which highlights the importance of repeated information exposure in enhancing audience understanding in digital environments. This study emphasizes the strategic role of maintaining consistent environmental education content on social media platforms to support the development of public environmental awareness.
