Digital transformationhas changed employee communication patterns, especially among Generation Z working in the food and beverage sector. The intensity of social media use has given rise to the phenomena of fear of missing out (FoMO) and phubbing, which can interfere with face-to-face interactions and trigger rude behavior in the workplace. This phenomenon manifests itself in the form of neglecting coworkers, unfriendly communication, and weakened team collaboration. This study aims to analyze the influence of FoMO and phubbing on workplace incivility among Generation Z employees in a cafe environment. This study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive and causal design. Data was collected through literature review, field observation, and the distribution of questionnaires to 100 respondents who are Generation Z employees. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling method to test the relationship between the variables under study. The results of the study indicate that FoMO and phubbing have a positive and significant influence on workplace incivility. These findings confirm that digital phenomena have a real impact on the work dynamics of Generation Z in the F&B sector. The practical implications of this study encourage human resource management to design management strategies that foster direct communication ethics and reduce the negative impact of social media dependence in the workplace.
