Abstract

Teachers' efforts in Improving Student Learning Outcomes in Civics Subjects. A Research at SMP Negeri 3 Tondano. Thesis of the Department of Pancasila and Citizenship Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Manado State University. This research is focused on the efforts of teachers in improving student learning outcomes in Civics subjects where teachers have not carried out their duties optimally. The research subjects were teachers and students at SMP Negeri 3 Tondano. The problems that occur in the field (SMP Negeri 3 Tondano) are: the lack of efforts by Civics teachers in improving learning outcomes, the learning methods used are not optimal, students learn to be passive because the learning media is less attractive, resulting in low student scores. The purpose of this study was to find out how the teacher's efforts in improving student learning outcomes in Civics subjects at SMP Negeri 3 Tondano. The type of research used by the researcher is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques are carried out using primary data sources (interviews) and secondary data sources (documents). The results of the study show that teachers have not been optimal in carrying out their duties and functions in preventing student grades from being low.
