Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance of PPKn teachers in increasing the attitude of nationalism in students at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. In accordance with the existing problems regarding the erosion of the attitude of nationalism in students in this globalization era, the performance of PPKn teachers is required to improve the attitude of nationalism in students.

The method used is the descriptive qualitative research method. Data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The qualitative descriptive method is a research method that is carried out on a group that is the goal with the object, namely a person, group, or environment to an event that is happening in accordance with reality. Based on the results of research that has been carried out by researchers at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano, Civics teachers are expected to be able to improve their performance in the formation of nationalist attitudes in students, given that the easy generation is the next generation of the nation who must truly have an attitude of nationalism to their own nation. PPKn is also a forum for introducing students to the importance of nationalism in a nation because a strong nation is a nation that truly knows its own identity.
