PERANAN MOTIVASI ORANG TUA DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA JURUSAN DESAIN PEMODELAN DAN INFORMASI BANGUNAN SMK NEGERI 1 TOMOHON

Abstract

Thi_~s study i_~s a corre_~lati_~onal surve_~y re_~se_~arch ai_~me_~d at de_~te_~rmi_~ni_~ng the_~ Role_~ of Pare_~ntal Moti_~vati_~on on the_~ Acade_~mi_~c Achi_~e_~ve_~me_~nt of Stude_~nts i_~n the_~ De_~partme_~nt of Bui_~ldi_~ng De_~si_~gn Mode_~li_~ng and I_~nformati_~on at SMK Ne_~ge_~ri_~ 1 Tomohon. The_~ data colle_~cti_~on te_~chni_~que_~s and tools use_~d i_~n thi_~s study e_~mploye_~d re_~se_~arch i_~nstrume_~nts i_~n the_~ form of que_~sti_~onnai_~re_~s and the_~ ave_~rage_~ fi_~nal e_~xam score_~s. Base_~d on thi_~s data, i_~t was found that the_~ si_~gni_~fi_~cance_~ value_~ was 0.001, wi_~th a corre_~lati_~on coe_~ffi_~ci_~e_~nt of 0.776 and a coe_~ffi_~ci_~e_~nt of de_~te_~rmi_~nati_~on of 60.21%, whi_~ch me_~ans that change_~s i_~n acade_~mi_~c achi_~e_~ve_~me_~nt are_~ i_~nflue_~nce_~d by Pare_~ntal Moti_~vati_~on by 60.21%, whi_~le_~ the_~ re_~mai_~ni_~ng porti_~on i_~s i_~nflue_~nce_~d by othe_~r vari_~able_~s. Stude_~nts who are_~ conti_~nuously moti_~vate_~d by the_~i_~r pare_~nts wi_~ll be_~ able_~ to i_~mprove_~ the_~i_~r acade_~mi_~c achi_~e_~ve_~me_~nt, whe_~re_~as stude_~nts who do not have_~ hi_~gh moti_~vati_~on due_~ to a lack of e_~ncourage_~me_~nt from the_~i_~r pare_~nts wi_~ll not be_~ able_~ to i_~mprove_~ the_~i_~r acade_~mi_~c pe_~rformance..
