Abstract

The road network suffered much damage, probably caused by factors such traffic is increasing in number. This
becomes a problem of inconvenience for road users. Then conducted a studi to take into account factors of traffic
on road planning with a view to determine the extent of the effect of variations in traffic on pavement thickness.
In this paper the authors discuss the correlation between the method of highways and road Capacity Manual
Indonesia (MKJI, 1997) in determining the type of road repairs. Through the method of highways authors found a
correlation visually regarding road damage then elaborated empirically using the indonesian highway Capacity
Manual (MKJI, 1997) in the determination of pavement thickness to the plan, to the range Katobu Vilage District
West Muna Regency Southeast Sulawesi with a path length was observed a long the 5,50 km, which is divided
into 10 segments where design live of 10 year road improvement are being 5 m where previous road 4 m wide,
with thr selection Laston pavement surface using a 10 cm thick, which aggregate A 20 cm and aggregate B 20cm.
