PENGARUH DUKUNGAN SOSIAL TERHADAP GRIEF PADA DEWASA AWAL PASCA KEMATIAN ORANG TUA MAHASISWA DI UNIVERSITAS NEGERI MANADO

Abstract

This study aims to measure the magnitude of the influence of social support on grief in early adulthood after the death of a parent in the cities of Tomohon and Tondano within the scope of Manado Tomohon and Tondano State University The method used in this research is quantitative The population in this study were early adults aged 18 25 years men and women who had lost one of their parents The sampling technique uses a non probability sampling technique namely Purposive Sampling determining the number of samples using the Cochran formula The data collection technique uses a questionnaire Data collection techniques use quantitative research techniques using statistics The results of this study show that there is no influence of social support on grief in early adulthood after the death of a parent so Ha is rejected and H0 is accepted It is said to be accepted because the calculated F value = 1 053 with a significance level of 0 307 which means a significance value of 0 307 gt; 0 05 and from the output results an R square value of 0 011 with a social support value of 168 is obtained The social support variable has a negative influence on grief It can be concluded that the higher the influence of social support the lower the influence of grief and the lower the influence of social support the higher the grief Therefore it can be stated that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected< p>
