Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Guidelines for Contributors

  1. E-Clue Journal accepts articles on English language teaching and learning, linguistics and literature, which have not been published elsewhere.
  2. To be considered for publication, manuscript should be typed in MS Word .doc format, using 12 size Times New Roman fonts, double-spaced on quarto or A4-size paper, 10-20 pages in length.
  3. Articles will be reviewed by subject reviewers, while the editors reserve the right to edit to edit articles for format consistency without altering the substance.
  4. Articles are to be written in essay style with a subheading for each part, except for the introduction. The subheading system is as follows:
    LEVEL ONE : ALL CAPITALS, BOLD, LEFT JUSTICATION
    Level  Two   : Capitals-lowercase, Bold, Left Justification
    Level three : Capitals-lowercase, Italic-bold, Left Justification
  5. Non-research article should include: (a) Title; (b) Full name of contributor(s) without titles; (c) Abstract (max.150 words); (d) Key Words; (e) Introduction without heading; (f) body text; and (g) references.
  6. Research report articles should contain: (a) Title; (b) Full name of contributor(s) without title(s); (c) Abstract (max. 200 words); (d) Key words; (e) Introduction without heading, which includes review of related literature and research purpose; (f) Methods; (g) Findings and Discussion of the Findings; (i) Conclusions and Suggestions; (j) References; and (k) Appendix, if any.
  7. The references should be presented alphabetically and chronologically, and be written in accordance with the APA style.
  8. Manuscript, as well as contributors' brief CV, a number of selected items to be included in the subject index (about 20 items) are to be sent by website to pbinggris.unima.ac.id
  1. Recent publication for references are preferred, and if possible primary resources (research article in journal or research report including thesis)
  2. References are arranged in alphabetical order following APA

  2. My article is a non-research report article (* FOR NON-RESEARCH REPORT ARTICLE).
  3. The article has not been published elsewhere.
  4. The font being used is Time New Roman size 12.
  5. The length of the article is between 10 to 20 pages; say.....pages.
  6. Level one heading are typed in ALL CAPITALS, BOLD, LEFT JUSTIFICATION
  7. Level two heading are typed in Capital-lowercase, Bold, Left Justification
  8. Level three headings are typed in Capitals-lowercase, Italic-bold, Left Justification
  9. Its abstract, max. 100 words, say.......words, clear, and informative.
  10. The key words are well selected and closely related to the topic.
  11. The introduction is without heading and includes review of related literature and research purpose in essay style.
  12. it includes Research Methods under a separate heading (* FOR RESEARCH REPORT ARTICLE).
  13. it includes Research Findings under a separate heading (* FOR RESEARCH REPORT ARTICLE).
  14. It includes Discussion of Findings under a separate heading (* FOR RESEARCH REPORT ARTICLE).
  15. It includes Conclusions and Suggestions (* FOR RESEARCH REPORT ARTICLE).
  16. The list of references includes only those that I cite/refer to in the article.
  17. I also provide a number of items to be included in the subject index.
  18. I am enclosing my brief CV of not more than 200 words (essential personal ID, education, career, relevant publications).
  19. I have copied this checklist format and will send it by email to the Editor together with my article and items for subject index.

Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting, or if already registered can simply log in and begin the 5 step process.

  • Artikel harus ditulis berdasarkan penelitian bidang kebahasaan, kesasatraan, atau pengajaran bahasa dan sastra, dan belum pernah dimuat pada jurnal lain. naskah diketik dengan program Microsof Word, 1,5 spasi, sepanjang 15-20 halaman. naskah diserahkan file dapat dikirim ke website: unima.ac.id
  • Nama penulis artikel tanpa gelar akademik ditempatkan di bawah judul artikel, di bawahnya ditulis nama lembaga asal penulis dan alamat korespondensi (e-mail atau nomor HP). Jika naskah ditulis oleh tim, semua anggota tim harus ditulis, tetapi penyunting hanya berhubungan dengan penulis utama atau penulis yang namanya di urutan pertama.
  • Artikel ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia atau bahasa Inggris secara benar dengan format esai. Judul artikel dicetak dengan huruf kapital di tengah-tengah, sedang subjudul ditulis mulai margin kiri lurus tanpa menggunakan angka penomoran. Sub-subjudul dibedakan peringkat hurufnya dan dicetak tebal miring.
  • Artikel ditulis dengan sistematika sebagai berikut: judul, nama penulis, alamat lembaga, dan korespondensi (e-mail); abstrak (100-120) kata; berisi tujuan, metode, hasil penelitian dan kesimpulan utma); kata kunci; pendahuluan (berisi masalah penelitian, situasi ilmiah dewasa ini, dapat mengacu pustaka yang menjadi landasan penelitian); metode; hasil dan pembahasan (diperkuat teori atau temuan penelitian yang relevan); simpulan; persantunan (ucapan terima kasih); daftar pustaka (hanya memuat sumber-sumber yang dirujuk).
  • Sumber rujukan sedapat mungkin merupakan pustaka terbitan mutakhir dan diutamakan pusatka primer (artikel penelitian dalam jurnal/majalah ilmiah atau laporan penelitian termasuk tesis dan disertasi).
  • Perujukan/pengutipan menggunakan teknik rujukan berkurung dan untuk kutipan langsung disertai penyebutan halaman, contoh:... (Michael,2008:48).
  • Daftar pustaka disusun secara alfabetis dan kronologisdengan urutan dan contoh sebagai berikut:
  • Buku: nama penulis (jika nama lebih dari satu kata, diambil entri terakhir) , tahun, judul buku, (cetak miring), kota penerbit, penerbit.

  • Artikel Jurnal: nama penulis, tahun, judul artikel (diapit tanda kutip), nama jurnal, volume/nomor, halaman.
