Guidelines for Contributors

  1. E-Clue Journal accepts articles on English language teaching and learning, linguistics and literature, which have not been published elsewhere.
  2. To be considered for publication, manuscript should be typed in MS Word .doc format, using 12 size Book Antiqua fonts, Single-spaced on quarto or A4-size paper, 10-25 pages in length.
  3. Articles will be reviewed by subject reviewers, while the editors reserve the right to edit to edit articles for format consistency without altering the substance.
  4. Articles are to be written in essay style with a subheading for each part, except for the introduction. The subheading system is as follows:
    LEVEL ONE : ALL CAPITALS, BOLD, LEFT JUSTICATION
    Level  Two   : Capitals-lowercase, Bold, Left Justification
    Level three : Capitals-lowercase, Italic-bold, Left Justification
  5. Non-research article should include: (a) Title; (b) Full name of contributor(s) without titles; (c) Abstract (150-250 words); (d) Key Words; (e) Introduction without heading; (f) body text; and (g) references.
  6. Research report articles should contain: (a) Title; (b) Full name of contributor(s) without title(s); (c) Abstract (max. 250 words); (d) Key words; (e) Introduction without heading, which includes review of related literature and research purpose; (f) Methods; (g) Findings and Discussion of the Findings; (i) Conclusions and Suggestions; (j) References; and (k) Appendix, if any.
  7. The references should be presented alphabetically and chronologically, and be written in accordance with the APA style.
  8. Manuscript, as well as contributors' brief CV, a number of selected items to be included in the subject index (about 20 items) are to be sent by website to pbinggris.unima.ac.id
  1. Recent publication for references are preferred, and if possible primary resources (research article in journal or research report including thesis)
  2. References are arranged in alphabetical order following APA

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. My article is a research report article.
  2. My article is a non-research report article (* FOR NON-RESEARCH REPORT ARTICLE).
  3. The article has not been published elsewhere.
  4. The font being used is Book Antiqua size 12.
  5. The length of the article is between 10 to 25 pages; say.....pages.
  6. Level one heading are typed in ALL CAPITALS, BOLD, LEFT JUSTIFICATION
  7. Level two heading are typed in Capital-lowercase, Bold, Left Justification
  8. Level three headings are typed in Capitals-lowercase, Italic-bold, Left Justification
  9. Its abstract, 150-250 words, say.......words, clear, and informative.
  10. The key words are well selected and closely related to the topic.
  11. The introduction is without heading and includes review of related literature and research purpose in essay style.
  12. it includes Research Methods under a separate heading (* FOR RESEARCH REPORT ARTICLE).
  13. it includes Research Findings under a separate heading (* FOR RESEARCH REPORT ARTICLE).
  14. It includes Discussion of Findings under a separate heading (* FOR RESEARCH REPORT ARTICLE).
  15. It includes Conclusions and Suggestions (* FOR RESEARCH REPORT ARTICLE).
  16. The list of references includes only those that I cite/refer to in the article.
  17. I also provide a number of items to be included in the subject index.
  18. I am enclosing my brief CV of not more than 200 words (essential personal ID, education, career, relevant publications).
  19. I have copied this checklist format and will send it by email to the Editor together with my article and items for subject index.

 

Information For Authors

Interested in submitting to this journal? We recommend that you review the About the Journal page for the journal's section policies, as well as the Author Guidelines. Authors need to register with the journal prior to submitting, or if already registered can simply log in and begin the 5 step process.

 

  1. Articles must be written based on research in the field of linguistics, literature, or language and literature teaching, and have not been published in other journals. the manuscript is typed with the Microsoft Word program, 1.5 spaces, 15-20 pages long. manuscript submitted files can be sent to the website: unima.ac.id
  2. The name of the author of the article without an academic degree is placed under the title of the article, below which the name of the author's institution and correspondence address (e-mail or mobile number) are written. If the manuscript is written by a team, all team members must be written, but the editor only deals with the main author or the first author.
  3. Articles are written in Indonesian or English correctly in an essay format. The title of the article is printed with a capital letter in the middle, while the subtitle is written from the left margin straight without using numbered numbers. Sub-subheadings are distinguished by letter rank and are in bold italics.
  4. Articles are written systematically as follows: title, author's name, institution address, and correspondence (e-mail); abstract (100-120) words; contains the objectives, methods, research results and main conclusions); keywords; introduction (containing research problems, current scientific situation, can refer to the literature on which the research is based); method; results and discussion (reinforced by relevant theory or research findings); conclusion; politeness (thanks); bibliography (only contains referenced sources).
  5. Reference sources as far as possible are the latest published libraries and preferably primary centers (research articles in scientific journals/magazines or research reports including theses and dissertations).
    Referrals/quotes use the bracketed reference technique and for direct quotations accompanied by mention of pages, for example:... (Michael, 2008:48).
    The bibliography is arranged alphabetically and chronologically with the following order and examples:
    Book: author's name (if the name is more than one word, the last entry is taken) , year, book title, (italics), publisher city, publisher.
    Edwards, Patricia A. 2008. Children's Literary Development, Boston: Person.
    Journal article: author's name, year, article title (enclosed in quotation marks), journal name, volume/number, page.

    Internet: author's name, year, title of the article (italics), site, date accessed.
