Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the variables of parental attention, interest in learning, learning facilities, and learning geography on students' motivation to study geography in high school. This study uses a quantitative approach. Data were obtained by using observation, documentation, and questionnaires, while data analysis was used by using path analysis. The results showed that the effect of parental attention on learning motivation was 0.330. The effect of student interest in learning on student motivation is 0.762. The effect of learning facilities on students' learning motivation is 0.506. The influence of geography learning on learning motivation is 0.385. The effect of parental attention, interest in learning, learning facilities, and learning geography on motivation is 0.752. These four variables together affect the motivation to learn geography in high school.
