Author Guidelines

  • Manuscripts are submitted online via OJS of the Journal of MARISEKOLA through https://ejurnal.unima.ac.id/index.php/marisekola/submissions. Authors who already have an account may click log in and those who do not have an account may click register first. Please note that the submitted manuscript has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (under review in another scientific journal).
  • Each manuscript will be given the test of plagiarism.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The minimum number of pages in one manuscript is 6 and a maximum of 10 pages on A4 size paper must be written according to the template provided.
  • Manuscripts must be with top, bottom, left, and right margins of 2.5 cm each.
  • Manuscripts are sent in English or Indonesian, but the abstract and keywords must be in both languages.

Title

The title is written in capital letters at the beginning of each word with the following conditions: Cambria Math font, size 14pt, bold, center aligned, single-spaced. The maximum number of words is 15 words. If the manuscript is in English, Indonesian words are written in Italics. But if it is written in Indonesian, the English words are written in Italics.

Authors' name

The author's name is written in capital letters at the beginning of each word using Cambria Math letters, size 12pt, center aligned, single-spaced. The author's name is written without any academic degree.

Author Affiliations

The author's affiliation is written in capital letters at the beginning of each word using Cambria Math font, size 10pt, left aligned, single-spaced. The affiliations written consist of study programs, faculties, and universities. The affiliation of the second and subsequent authors is presented if it differs from the affiliation of the first author.

Abstract

Abstracts and keywords are written in both Indonesian and English with the Cambria Math font, size 10pt and one space between lines and limited to 250 words, with left and right alignment. The abstract is written in one paragraph with one column format. The number of keywords is 3-5 words and separated by commas.

Article Body

The systematics of writing articles consists of an Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusions, and References. The results and discussion sections can be written in one section, or separately.

Figures and tables are given sequential image/table titles using Arabic numbering. Figures and tables are placed in a centered format. Images are allowed in color or black and white. Figure/table captions are written in Cambria Math font size 11pt, center aligned. The words image/table are typed in bold, while the image/table descriptions are not typed in bold. The image title is placed after the related image while the table title is placed before the related table. Mathematical equations are written clearly and include the required information.

Headings (sections and sub-sections) should be no more than 3 levels high. All headings must be in Cambria Math font, size 11pt, 1 space. The procedure for writing headings is as follows:

  1. Level 1 headings must be in all capital letters, bold, and left-aligned. For example, INTRODUCTION
  2. Level 2 headings must begin with a capital letter, be bold, and be left aligned. For example, Introduction
  3. Level 3 headings must begin with a capital letter, bold, italic, and aligned. For example, Statistical Test Results
  4. Level 4 headings must begin with a capital letter and italic, as well as be numbered with Arabic numerals followed by right brackets. For example, 1) Control Class Results.

References

The references contain articles from scientific journals (a minimum of 70% of the entire bibliography) published in the last 10 years, book sources, etc. The reference is written according to APA (American Psychological Association) format.
