Publication Ethics

The code of ethics in MARISEKOLA: Journal of Mathematics Research, Education, and Collaboration follows the guidelines of the Head of LIPI Regulation Number 5 in the year 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications. The essence of this publication ethics code is to uphold three ethical values ​​in publications, namely (1) Neutrality, namely being free from conflicts of interest in managing publications; (2) Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those entitled to be authors/writers; and (3) Honesty, namely free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications.

This code of ethics applies to all users of MARISEKOLA: Jurnal Matematika Riset Edukasi dan Kolaborasi, including journal managers, editors, reviewers, and authors.

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Manager

  1. Determine the name of the journal, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation if necessary.
  2. Determine the membership of the editorial board.
  3. Define the relationship between publishers, editors, publishers, and other parties in a contract.
  4. Respect confidential things, both for contributing researchers, authors, editors, and peer reviewers.
  5. Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially the copyright.
  6. Review journal policies and convey them to the author, editorial board, peer-reviewers, and readers.
  7. Create a code of conduct guide for editors and peer-reviewers.
  8. Publish journals regularly.
  9. Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication.
  10. Building cooperation and marketing networks.
  11. Prepare permits and other legal aspects.

Editor's Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Meeting the needs of readers and writers.
  2. Strive to continuously improve the quality of publications.
  3. Implement a process to ensure the quality of published written work.
  4. Prioritize freedom of opinion objectively.
  5. Maintain the integrity of the author's academic track record.
  6. Deliver corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies if necessary.
