HUBUNGAN MAKNA KERJA DENGAN PEMBENTUKAN IDENTITAS DIRI PADA PETUGAS KEBERSIHAN DI DAERAH KOTA TOMOHON

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the meaning of work and the formation of self identity in janitors in Tomohon city The research method used was correlational quantitative research The research population involved 139 janitors at the Tomohon City Regional Environmental Service The sampling technique used saturated sampling technique The questionnaire was used as a data collection tool which was developed by the researcher based on aspects of work meaning according to Steger Dik and Duffy as well as self identity formation based on self identity status according to James E Marcia This study used the help of the SPSS program version 25 0 for Windows The findings showed a positive relationship between the meaning of work and the formation of self identity That is the better the understanding of the meaning of work the better the formation of self identity of janitors in Tomohon city The results of the correlation analysis showed a value of r = 0 267 and p = 0 001 which is categorized as a fairly strong relationship This study contributes to the understanding of the meaning of work variable to the self identity formation variable in janitors in the Tomohon city area < p>
