Abstrak

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of IPAS through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in grade III elementary school. The research method used is the design of class action research which is carried out in two cycles, which consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques through: Observation techniques and tests. The subject of the study was grade III students of elementary school with a total of 27 students consisting of 18 female students and 9 male students. The results of the study found that the problem-based learning model is said to be effective in improving student learning outcomes if the research results reach a learning completion percentage of 75%. Based on the results of the first cycle of research, the percentage of student learning completeness reached 68.14%. In the second cycle, there was an increase in the percentage of learning completeness reaching 82.77%. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model can improve the learning outcomes of social studies in grade III elementary school.
